The Defects Module
Qualibrate has a dedicated module for defects. In the modules list on top you may find the Defects module.
The Defect module sums up all the defects raised on your current project regardless of the way it was added: created directly from the Defects module, created during a manual or an automated test execution.
As you may see in the next picture the Defects module provides important characteristics of a defect: id, defect summary, status, severity, priority, assigned to, detected by, detected on.
Creating a Defect
To create a new defect, you use the ‘New’ option and the window above will be displayed asking you for the defect information. The fields marked with a ‘*’ are mandatory.
Do you need an additional field or require a custom defect workflow?
Qualibrate knows that each company has specific requirements on their defect life-cycle process, therefore our support team can help you implement those customizations in no time. Submit your request here and select the ticket category "Configuration Change" to request the change.
Qualibrate offers the possibility to handle an internal conversation in the context of a defect. This helps the team to streamline collaborative activities.
Adding attachments can be done after the defect has been created. Open a defect and you will see an ‘Attachments’ tab under which you can upload related files using the ‘Upload File’ option.
The user has options to: Copy link to document, Download document and Delete document. You may upload new files by using the button in the bottom-left corner of the window.
The tab "History" of the Defect window allows you to keep track on update events. The feature gives you the ability to see all the changes of the defects.
Filters and Queries
Filters and Queries can be displayed by clicking on the loop icon on top of the screen:
On the left-side panel the out-of-the-box queries will be displayed:
For the moment, there are four such queries configured: Assigned to me, Closed Defects, Detected by me, My Open Defects, Open Defects.
Export defect queries
Using the Export option will automatically download an .XLS document with the subset of the defects, taking in account applied filters.
